John Dowler - Low Society

John Dowler has a lot of history.  He started out in Spare Change which then morphed into Young Modern.  Classic Aussie pop - there's no other description for these bands (one album from each).  After this he formed The Zimmermen and hit gold with the single 'Don't Go To Sydney'.   Two albums followed then all over red rover.  This is a mish-mash of solo stuff plus some tracks from previous bands.  Absolutely essential.

  1. You've got an amazing blog here. Love the Steve Kilbey & Ricky Maymi. Big Church & BJM fan. This John Dowler is cool as well, but track 6, "Brides of Christ," has a skipping noise for the first minute or so. Should I try to dl again? Thanks again.

  2. I think that's something I really need to look at. It's probably a better option if I simply do a convert from CD audio to MP3 again then re-up. When I do that, I'll leave a comment here to say it's been done. How does that sound?
