The Eyes - Tube Vision

Never stopped playing this back in the day (1980). Best summed up as a classic Aussie New Wave/Pop album. Catchy. Infectious.

Released on Ata Records - a long standing record label responsible for Col Joye, Sandy Scott, Andy Gibb, Little Pattie, Smokey Dawson etc. About as Aussie as it gets but this is an oddity in their repertoire.

Pelaco Bros - The Notorious Pelaco Bros EP & Lost Demos (with extra tracks)

Released in 1976 on Ralph Records and features Stephen Cummings, Jo Camileri, Ed Bates, Johnny Topper, Carl Wolfe & Peter Lillee. Bit of a who's-who of the Melbourne scene in the mid-70's (Rock n' Roll + Rockabilly = Essential Listening).

Extra tracks from 'Inner Sanctum' and 'The Auto Drifters and The Relaxed Mechanics meet the Fabulous Nudes and Pelaco Bros' Compilation are included with this EP download. On top of that, you can also get 'The Lost Demos' from The Pelaco Bros.

Gary and Dave - Together

First album, released in 1973. Canadian pop duo composed of Gary Weeks & Dave Beckett. Best known for the songs "Could You Ever Love Me Again" & "I May Never See You Again".

Gary and Dave - All In The Past

Second album, released in 1974. They had difficulty replicating their success in the States and eventually got tired of touring and recording. Avid aviators, they wound up being pilots for Air Canada - flying between Ottawa and Montreal. Dave had a stint as a flying instructor for Boeing in South Korea and lived in Brazil. Gary went on to become a preacher based in Ireland and later returning to Canada.

Cowboys International - The Backwards Life of Romeo

2004 release from these guys. I completely missed this when it came out but always enjoyed their first album ('The Original Sin'). Purchased it recently but it's for completists only. Sounds nothing like their first (boo-hoo) and features only one original member - Ken Lockie. He plays most of the  instruments with a little help from family. Hey - it's Cowboys International. What more do you want!

Mark Gillespie - Flame

Rarely heard album from Mark Gillespie, released in 1992. His first two albums are highly regarded ('Only Human' 1980 & 'Sweet Nothing' 1981 - both re-issued) and the third ('Ring Of Truth' 1983) fell upon deaf ears. Mark then left Australia to work in Bangladesh and set up a child orphanage. He released this gem during this time and then silence (musically). No doubt he had bigger fish to fry with his new life in Bangladesh - I get that.

It would be a pity though if this album continued to be unheard.
