Tune Bureau - Laminex

Who the heck are these guys?? They hail from Perth and released this gem in 1997. Nothing about them on the internet (not even Discogs) - this may have something to do with them remaining 'undiscovered'.

It be good. Very good. 'Over The Top' and 'Budget Pop' (as proclaimed on the cover) may be apt descriptions.

    Yeah we had a lot of fun and were able to win a WAMI (West Australian Music Industry Award) for one of our songs "Oops" and were finalists with 'electric". We were friends and plays often with The Early Hours who were school friends and released 2 killer albums that you should check out. All a long time ago now but good memories and good times. - Karl

    Have blogged The Early Hours. One of my fave bands. I spent many years in Kalgoorlie (where they originated) and was quite surprised to hear their sound. Probably was expecting more of a Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson thing.

    BTW - your album certainly is great. Thoroughly A-Class and enjoyable. A hidden Aussie delight.
