Ian MacFarlane - Back From Beyond

Ian was a cutting edge electronics musician and gave birth to his career as a progressive electronic artist, releasing this LP in 1980.  From 1978-1983 he contributed keyboards to Cybotron, Australia's leading electronic group of that period ('Colossus' & 'Self Titled'). 

I rate this LP.  It's essential listening.

Vertical Hold - Self Titled

It's 1983 and we get a full length LP of dance-pop-funk tracks.  In many ways, this was the sound of the 80's.

I remember thinking at the time "what's with jeans that are turned up at the leg??"  Have never been able to answer that question.
