The Manikins - Live Locally (Cassette)
First full length release from this Perth band. It appeared as a cassette and basically featured a whole heap of songs they cut in the studio that 'did not contain any faults'. Uh - huh, that's right - it's Live and Local. One of the great Aussie cassette releases. Hard to beat, this precedes the 'Last Gasp' release.
I had this cassette (in a different cover, I'm pretty certain) when it came out. I saw them play around Perth in maybe 1979 and bought the tape when it came out. Long gone, I think stolen along with other miscellaneous items from a share house a couple years later. I played it so much I can still remember what it sounded like. Raw. But great. Cheers Dave

This is the reason I drop by your blog regularly. As a non Aussie, I've never even HEARD of this band. Keep up the good work!
